Want To Publish Newsletters? Join iContact!

Many bloggers are using email newsletters to get more exposure for their site, and they’re often satisfied with the results.

One of the leading email newsletter providers is a site called iContact. Actually, I’m just guessing that because I’m not using the service and I really don’t know much about it. All I do know is that the monthly membership costs a little less than 10$ and that over 100,000 people are using it.

So why am I talking about it?

iContact offers an ingenious service that will take your newsletter traffic to a whole new level. It’s called iContact Community.

What is it?

iContact Community is a digg-like site that allows you to comment, rank, and discuss email newsletters that are spread over 18 categories, allowing their publishers to reach the front page and get more visitors to their blog.

You can register to vote and comment for free, but you need to sign up for iContact newsletter service.

The community has over 120,000 members and it’s growing fast thanks to iContact efforts to promote the site, putting up ads and buying sponsored reviews. I’m sure that the number of members will double up quickly thus giving the publishers even more exposure.

I (really) like it because…

  • you can find some great newsletters to subscribe to. You can actually see how they look before you even subscribe them!
  • it’s unique! This is the first social bookmarking site for newsletters. If (somehow) it’s not first, it’s definitely the largest one.
  • people have to pay to be able to publish stories You won’t have to deal with those annoying/worthless spam posts that make up a huge portion of Digg and other free social networks.
  • there are no “bury” buttons, which means that a publisher can’t be harassed by corrupted member groups, which happens all the time on, once again, Digg. If you have a good story, it will hit the front page!
  • the design is neat and the pages are easy to navigate.
So if you’re interested in using newsletters for your blog promotion, I suggest you start with iContact. It’ll bring you more traffic than any other newsletter provider could!
